Winner of the Angler's Mail ‘Great Gizmo Award’ and hailed by Practical Boat Magazine as 'The current must have boys’ toy…', the Poacher's Pocket Fishing Rod has clearly given those in the angling world something to talk about.

Despite it being able to fit into a coat pocket, the Poacher's Pocket Fishing Rod is a fully functional and superbly crafted fishing rod.

The rod features a miniature reel with switchable ratchet so that it can be used right- or left-handed and a wonderfully fabricated brake/clutch.

Supplied with a 5-pound breaking strain fishing line and a spinner hook, the rod itself is made from aluminium alloy and contains seven fibreglass draws, which retract when the rod is put away while the reel simply detaches.

Fully extended, the rod measures 4 feet in length but once the rod is folded away, a lid much like an ordinary pen top fits on top giving the rod in carry mode a total length of just 8 inches.
