The Garmin Forerunner 405CX Training Watch is the latest evolution in GPS-enabled training.
It's small and light but packs all the features you want and the Forerunner 405CX interfaces effortlessly with your PC.
Improving on the already popular features of the existing 405, the Forerunner 405CX still has Garmin's GPS Virtual Partner but also features a more accurate heart rate-based calorie computation, a second wrist strap option suitable for smaller wrists and it comes in a fashionable new blue colour.
This sleek Garmin Forerunner 405CX Training Watch will track your distance, pace and heart rate and then wirelessly send the data to your PC for later analysis.

Loaded with serious training features, the 405CX will continuously record your time, distance, pace, calories and heart rate. Each workout is stored in the memory, so you can review and analyse the data to see how you've improved. Never train alone again - even if no one is willing to join you on your 6 a.m. run, the Virtual Partner mode will challenge you to step up your pace. Configure the virtual partner's pace and workout distance, hit 'Start' and the Virtual Partner will start running. If you are running faster, the screen will tell you how much further on you are or how much faster you are going; if you are going slower, the 405CX will let you know how badly you are being beaten.
The Forerunner 405CX comes with a flexible, wireless heart-rate monitor to help you make the most out of your training. The digital heart-rate monitor continuously tracks heart beats per minute and uses your heart rate for advanced calorie computation so you know how many calories you're burning. Train in a certain heart-rate zone to improve your fitness level or compare your pace and heart rate to past performance on the same run.
Train and compare with friends, using the Forerunner 405CX's wireless capabilities. You can share your locations, advanced workouts and courses wirelessly with other Forerunner 405 users. Send your favourite workout for your friends to try out or compete against someone else's recorded course. Sharing data is easy - just select 'Transfer' to send your information to a nearby device.
Once you have been out and logged the miles, the innovative ANT+ wireless technology featured in the 405CX will automatically transfer data to your computer. No cables are necessary, the data is just there ready for you to analyse, categorise and share using the Garmin Connect online community. With the optional Garmin Training Centre software, you can plan workouts on your computer to send them to your 405CX and even download routes and workouts from Garmin-sponsored athletes.
When the weather is bad, don't be put off training, instead take your training inside. The versatile Forerunner 405CX can be paired with the optional foot pod to track your speed, distance and running cadence indoors when GPS signals are unavailable. The wireless foot pod simply clips onto your laces for easy removal and automatically turns on when you start moving. If you prefer exercising on the bike, pair your Forerunner with the optional speed/cadence bike sensor to track the speed and distance of your cycling workouts.
