The body and pick have been drop forced in a single piece of extremely strong and durable carbon steel; the Nepal S.A. Plus Ice Axe then has a stamped adze welded to it. A long leash is ideal for beginners, giving versatility of use, but not so long that control is lost during a fall.
The shaft has been ergonomically designed to sink into the snow with minimal force, with a spike at the end, yet a gentle curve gives enough clearance for your hand.
