The Snugpak Venture Unisex TS1 Smock is a member of the new Snugpak Venture range. This two-layer lined smock is a very adaptable windproof top you will find ideal for many recreational, adventurous and professional outdoor activities.

This smock is lighter than most outdoor jackets so it can be taken just in case of poor weather and it packs into a tiny space in your rucksack. It is also an ideal layering item worn with insulating layers underneath in spring and autumn, say, and/or under such items as the Snugpak Softie SV3 vest and SJ3 or SJ6 jacket when the conditions are cold.

Its windproof quality will protect your torso from chilling but this smock is also breathable so perspiration can escape to help keep your skin drier and therefore more comfortable.

The advanced lightweight Paratex Micro technical fabric is not only windproof and breathable but it is also water resistant thanks to the durable water repellent (DWR) finish that causes rain to ball up and roll off the surface rather than penetrate it. The fabric is also quick drying and durable.

The TS of the Snugpak TS1 Smock name stands for the thermal suede of the inner layer. This is a lightweight, soft polyester moisture-wicking fabric whose sueded finish can be comfortably worn next to the skin.

Its macrofibre yarns are able to wick moisture from the inside to the Paratex Micro outer fabric which is breathable and therefore allows perspiration to be dissipated into the atmosphere to help keep your skin drier and therefore more comfortable however energetic your activity.

For layering compatibility, the Snugpak Venture range do not retain the hood of standard Snugpak garments but the storage space is retained for the handy stowing of a scarf, beanie or pair of gloves, for example.

The Snugpak Venture Unisex Windproof TS1 Smock works well for you on the move as it features a large outer pocket on the front of the central chest pocket with a hook-and-loop security tab and a functional D-ring. This pocket can accommodate, for example, an A6 folded map or a notebook and pen/pencil, a smartphone complete with its waterproof case or a compact digital camera. In front of this pocket is a smaller outer pocket, again with a hook-and-loop security tab, that is ideal for keeping your compass close to hand, for example, or for holding smaller energy gels, pens, pencils etc.

The Snugpak Venture TS1 Smock allows essential equipment to be carried conveniently to hand with easy access when wearing a day sack, bergen and/or climbing harness.
