The Gerber Myth E-Z Open Gutting Knife is an impressive member of the new Gerber Myth fixed blade series. And like the other knives in this range, the gutting model is a beneficiary of the expertise and experience that went into their design courtesy of the profession guides and hunters Gerber consulted during the development stage.

The Gerber Myth E-Z Open Gutting Knife shares the same light weight and slim profile as the other knives in the Gerber Myth series. In addition, the strength and reliability of the finely shaped blade is achieved first by its full tang styling and then by this fine edge blade being made of high-carbon stainless steel. The gutting blade makes this member of the Gerber Myth line ideal for long and clean upward cuts.

The quality of the Myth Gutting Knife's blade is matched by the functionality of the handle which is of rubber with a textured finish that is soft to the touch for a more secure and comfortable grip. There are also ridges to the front of the top edge of the handle as well as on the adjacent blade edge and to the back of the bottom edge for the thumb and the end fingers, respectively.

The gutting blade features a hard plastic ball overmould tip to avoid unintentional piercing of both the game or the knife user.

The handle also features a pommel for emergency breaking of a window and a lanyard hole for the attachment of a strop.

The sheath supplied with the Gerber Myth E-Z Open Gutting Knife also shows the benefit of experience in its design as its hard plastic construction is resistant to puncturing and has an integrated sharpener for continuous top-quality work.
