The hills of the valley were like linocut prints, it sometimes felt like I was skiing through an art gallery.
I enjoyed making pictures out of the shapes created by the dramatic contrast of pure white snow on jet black rock. One hill reminded me of the striped skin of a zebra, and I started daydreaming of being on safari in the Masai Mara. It was fun to imagine being somewhere warm and sunny and momentarily escape the reality of being in the freezing cold of the Arctic.
