The Snugpak Venture Unisex Windtop Smock is part of the exciting new Snugpak Venture range and is an extremely versatile single-layer windproof top that will prove ideal for a very wide range of leisure or competitive outdoor activities.

This smock is light enough to be taken just in case poor weather arrives and it packs into a tiny space in your rucksack. It is also an ideal layering item worn with insulating layers underneath in spring and autumn, say, and/or under such items as the Snugpak Softie SV3 vest and SJ3 or SJ6 jacket for colder conditions.

While its windproof quality will protect your torso from chilling, it is also breathable so perspiration can escape to help keep your skin drier and therefore more comfortable.

The advanced lightweight Paratex Micro technical fabric is not only windproof and breathable but it is also water resistant thanks to the durable water repellent (DWR) finish that causes rain to ball up and roll off the surface rather than penetrate it. The fabric is also quick drying and durable.

For layering compatibility, the Snugpak Venture range forgoes the hood of standard Snugpak garments but the storage space is retained for convenient stowing of a scarf, beanie or pair of gloves, for example.

For your convenience on the move, the Snugpak Venture Unisex Windtop Smock features a large outer pocket on the front of the central chest pocket with a hook-and-loop security tab and a functional D-ring. This pocket can accommodate, for example, an A6 folded map or a notebook and pen/pencil or a smartphone complete with its waterproof case as well as a small digital camera. In front of this pocket is a smaller outer pocket, again with a hook-and-loop security tab, that is ideal for keeping your compass close to hand, for example, or for holding smaller energy gels, pens, pencils etc.
