Celestron AstroMaster 114EQ Reflector Telescope

The Celestron AstroMaster 114EQ Reflector Telescope is not only ideal for observing thousands of relatively close celestial objects in the night sky such as the Moon in incredible detail as well as Saturn’s rings and Jupiter’s four largest moons, for example, but also the brighter deep space objects such as galaxies and nebulae.

It is the use of the Newtonian reflector in this high-end model from the Celestron AstroMaster range that makes this deeper exploration into space possible (although it also means this is not a telescope that is suitable for viewing terrestrial features).

This EQ version features the Equatorial mount with setting circles and slow-motion controls that enable you to precisely locate and then to track celestial objects on their paths across the sky.

There are quite a few parts to the Celestron AstroMaster 114EQ Reflector Telescope but the set up needs no tools other than the supplied screwdriver and lateral adjuster. The process quickly becomes a straightforward routine and the end results are certainly very worthwhile.

The telescope is supplied complete with the SkyX CDrom for use with a computer to show you how to find thousands of celestial objects and to identify those whose names you do not know.
