In the folded position, these special hardwood and brass ships' hooks recess completely within their frames, so if a person is thrown against them in rough seas the hooks will not cause injury. This also prevents snagging of clothes brushed past when nothing is hanging up. They are strong enough to carry a full complement of oilskins, but smart enough to mount 'on show'. All are 4" high. Useful in narrow spaces at home, too!
