Petzl AmD Asymmetric Carabiner
One of the strongest and lightest carabiners from Petzl, the Petzl Am’D Asymmetric Carabiner is a D shaped carabiner, ideal for connecting a belay device to your harness or as a connector at the end of a sling.
The Am’D Asymmetric Carabiner comes in three different locking styles, the screwgate, the Ball-lock, or the Triact. The manual locking system on the screwgate gives peace of mind and some climbers may prefer to physically lock the carabiner, however both autolocking Ball-lock and Triact offer further security. The Ball-lock requires two movements to unlock, a twist and pull. The Triact requires a three movement opening technique, a lift, twist, and pull ensuring that it stays closed when it is supposed to and minimising the possibility of accidental opening whilst in use.
