How Jetboil Works After the stove base and cooking cup are locked together, the Jetboil's integrated piezo lighter is used to fire up the burner ready for cooking. Once a heat level has been selected and the contents are adequately heated, the insulated cup can then be detached.

The Jetboil’s compact nature is its best asset easily packing down into one pouch. The fact that it is your cooker and your mug is a real space and weight saver. My favourite meal to cook in the Jetboil is noodles and tinned tuna with some chilli sauce, but only as that is a welcome change to the issue rations.
