D400 Wind Turbines 12v + Regulator 12v
D400 Wind Turbine Generator
Although specifically designed for boats, the D400 Wind Turbine Generator is versatile enough to be used on land and in areas of low wind speed. As a result of its marine heritage, it is virtually silent and vibration-free when operating in high wind thanks to its computer designed rotor blades.
The D400 has a three-phase alternator that is unparalleled in low and sustained high winds producing up to 500W, making the D400 a leader in the wind turbine market.
Please note: the Wind Turbine and the appropriate Regulator are supplied as a single package together so both items would need to be bought at the same time in the same order.
Specification
- Rotor diameter 43.3 inches (1.1 m)
- Weight 33 lb (15 kg)
- Start up wind speed 5.8 m/h (2.6 m/s)
- Voltage 12/24
- Output 400 watts at 36.9 m/h
As you would expect from a marine turbine, the D400 is protected against corrosion and it is extremely light and easy to attach to boats, caravans or outbuildings. You won't find a better wind turbine.
Researchers at 'Practical Boat Owners Magazine' awarded the D400 'Best Output' after tests in November 2005.
The D400 Wind Turbine Generator is available in white and also in black for low visibility impact.
